USA-TKJ
Group "C" Members

A Recognized National Multi-Sports Organizations (NMSO)
Voting Strength of Recognized National Multi-Sports Organizations (NMSO) and their representation and voice in the USA Traditional Kodokan Judo

NMSOs are provided voting representation in the USA-TKJ General Assembly as follows -

Criteria:
To affiliate with the USA-TKJ, a NMSO must submit a request for affiliation, pay the annual $500.00 affiliate membership fee and annually submit a verifiable list of their membership active in Judo who are substantially in compliance with WJF standards.

Benefits:
  • Organizational Recognition by USA-TKJ, the National Governing Body for Judo in the United States of America with the WJF.
  • Rank Recognition available for USA-TKJ members.
  • USA-TKJ Official Event Sanctions.
NMSO member voting strength in the USA-TKJ General Assembly is based on their Judo membership and is calculated as follows:
  • Under 1,000 Judo members = 1 vote
  • 1,001 - 3,000 Judo members = 2 votes
  • 3,001 - 5,000 Judo members = 3 votes
  • 5,001 - 10,000 Judo members = 4 votes
  • 10,001 - 15,000 Judo members = 5 votes
  • 15,001 or larger Judo members = 6 votes

The block of votes assigned to all NMSOs combined is 15. When the total combined voting strength exceeds fifteen, the NMSOs will meet and select their fifteen delegates in democratic manner.

What Our Members Are Saying

Picture
Jigoro Kano - Founder of Kodokan Judo
Bill Cooley, "The USA-TKJ does not depend on "sport judo" to train, evaluate or recognize progress of a Judoka".

Patrick Hickey, “Historic Judo concepts are crucial to maintain as more and more Judo organizations change to meet the current competition fades. USA-TKJ keeps faith with these traditional values!”
